Datsyuk, The Magician:

Wild finish in San Jose. With 41.7 seconds to go in the third -- tied game -- Regher takes a holding penalty. Then, with 5 seconds to go, Lewis takes a goalie interference penalty. He claims he was pushed By Marleau. Game highlights mysteriously do not show the play (shorthanded chance in the dying second, come on!)

So the Sharks open 5-on-3 in OT. Kings killed off the holding penalty but were still shorthanded (and dead tired) when Couture won it for the Sharks.

Oh, and earlier in the game there was a fairly blatant interference on Quick on the Sharks' first goal. On a powerplay faceoff, Thornton is on the wing and after the Sharks win the draw he skates backwards right into Quick as the puck goes in. If Quick was outside the crease it was an inch, and Jumbo Joe's Butt was right in his face. There definitely was contact. Shouldn't have counted.

Quick was livid after the game and got a 10 minute misconduct. Technically, he *could* get suspended for going after the ref.

Looks awfully close one way or the other. Yes, he was ridden a little, and you could see at the last second he looks up and sees the goalie, so I don't think he really knew where he was in relation to the crease. But once he saw that contact was unavoidable, he didn't really do much to minimize it.

There is no debate as to who the best player in the game is...it's not Dats.

Crosby would kill penalties if he needed to. Datsyuk just doesn't have the consistent offense, and he's aging. Probably retiring soon to go to the KHL as well.

I dont buy that one bit... I would take Darsyuk over Crosby in any game 7 today.

Wings take a 2-1 lead in their series... would love to see them knock off the Blackhawks.
