So, as Damien Cox (gasp) tweeted last night, at least we can be happy with the performance of d-man Troy Rutkowski in the WHL playoffs...his Portland Winterhawks won the WHL Championship, and he had a pretty nice season too as their captain:

In the WHL playoffs, he finished one point behind Seth Jones. They are now in the semi-finals at the Memorial Cup. He has 3 pts in 3 games.

He's improved every season so far.

For the right price, sure... the guy can play in the NHL but I would never waste a draft pick on a Russian. Trade is different because they are giving up something they believe they can part with from a position of strength.

I don't buy for a second that Silf would be traded for Burm straight up. maybe a much bigger trade including them and Bogo but not straight up. that's robbery from the jets

For Silfverberg? Nah.

It didn't say "for Silfverberg". But Burmistrov is just as good defensively with probably more offensive upside IMO. But he was rushed by Atlanta.
