It would be unreal...but they will certainly err on the side of caution with the best d-man on the planet, our future captain, and a sure fire hall of famer. Book it.

I'll take 109%, even 107% if you push it. It doesn't sound like Spezza is going to be ready any time soon. I think we can officially call this a set-back, now. Just like Anderson's injury was a high-ankle sprain and not day-to-day.

The surgery is well past being healed. So if he's still having issues, the only thing I can think of is that the disc has ruptured again, or another disc has ruptured. Options would be to rest and let it heal (weeks), play through it or another surgery (months).

Yeah, knowing Murray he'll make 100% sure there can be no further damage if he comes back, but still....so exciting to hear that he might get back.

Would be amazing if true, but I just can't see the sens starting the playoff with karlsson in the lineup. maybe in a game 6 or 7 scenario if the sens are facing elimination, I can see him coming back but why take such a risk right now?

Now if the sens can get to 2nd round of the playoffs, then i'd say 100% we'll see karlsson back

Wouldn't be surprised if Spezza has another surgery and his NHL career may be on the line. I wouldn't be looking for a plan B if I was Murray in terms of a guy to play the #1 center role.

I guess i'm not surprised considering what BMurr told Mendes in yesterday's broadcast (karlsson was getting close). But still....this is insane if true. It's been how long since the surgery???

It's 62 days since surgery today. "May start next week" could be as early as 67 or as late as 71 (going by Mon-Fri).
