Interesting statistic from the above:
In four of the Bruins' last 10 games, the team has carried a lead into the third period and lost. That's a surprising statistic for a team that went a perfect 32-0-0 when trailing after 40 minutes last season.

Combine that with the Sens scoring 4 in the third in their last game. Not that I advocate falling behind on these guys.

Bruins are getting worn down... you knew this would happen closer to the end of the year because of their schedule.

I don't see any way that we finish in the top 4 in the East. 6th place would be ideal, but that's also a crapshoot.

So I guess Lundin is in then?

Don't think 2nd is out of the question at this point. All teams falter a little and get tired, Montreal will eventually have a bad streak too where they have trouble winning. I would think 5th or 6th is where Ottawa will finish but they can put together something and finish higher, no question.

They said on TGOR this morning that a decision won't be made on Methot until the morning skate...unless you heard/read something I didn't?

Methot skating. Cautiously though

Ya, their sked is really back-loaded this year.

DD might play instead of O'Brien. Lines from practice:

Latendresse-Smith-Alfredsson
Greening-Turris-Silfverberg
Dizzy-Zibanejad-Neil
Kassian-Regin-Condra

Wiercioch-Gonchar
Lundin-Gryba
Phillips-Benoit

Doesn't sound like he will play (doesn't seem like a good idea either) but apparently he took part in regular rushes.

BooBoo: Marc Methot won't play. Lundin is in. Dizzy won't play. #Sens

Mendes: MacLean says Methot won't play tonight. But he did progress in the right direction. Probable for Saturday vs TB.

I can't predict a win tonight for the sens, although I'm sure they will try their hardest. if we can scoop a point tonight i'll be more then happy. I think the absence of Methot tonight will be more then evident.

Mendes: Krejci says he will decide later if he can play tonight vs OTT.

With only one regulation loss at home I think the Sens will be tough to beat. Teams take a great sense of pride in a record like that do they not? This is also a team with no pressure and having a lot of fun proving everyone wrong. I have a good feeling but, not 100% certain because at some point the lack of talent will catch up to them but for now at least their goaltending has bailed them out when issues have cropped up.
