Just keep Brodeur off the scoresheet.

Where he flipped it up over him and skated by him? That would have been awesome if he had scored.

Nope, NHL.com keeps theirs updated. TSN does not have team stats like that, so I assume you are just adding up the goalie goals given up, dividing by minutes total, multiplying by 60? There are also empty net goals to keep in mind.
Just go with the NHL.com stats.

I thought the same thing...but those NHL.com stats had fewer goals allowed for teams than TSN.
ESPN updates theirs on the fly I think, or at least on the same day... nhl.com seems to wait until the next day I think...wprager wrote:tim1_2 wrote:Those NHL.com stats are a little old. TSN's stats would have Boston at 2.10 and Ottawa at 2.16

http://espn.go.com/nhl/statistics/team/_/stat/scoring/sort/avgGoalsAgainst/order/false
1 Ottawa 2.03
2 Boston 2.07
3 Chicago 2.10
4 Anaheim 2.34
5 NY Rangers 2.37
Nice.

nhl.com is still showing Ottawa at 2.03 GA/G, while I can't find the stat on TSN. When you said 2.16, were you simply calculating 67 goals / 31 games = 2.16? Because I believe the NHL stat is actually goals against per 60 minutes, which would account for the difference.

NHL and ESPN both had Ottawa listed with 62 GA, whereas they actually have 67 GA. NHL and ESPN had Boston listed with 60 GA when they actually have 61 GA. I was comparing with the same stat category.
