Oh, man, don't know what to make of that (Murray on Spezza). He says they are not optimistic he'll play games in the regular season, then ads "at this point). Then he says that it's taking longer than anyone thought or expected, but that's not abnormal. Then what is the definition of abnormal -- when *everyone* thought it would take less, then that is the normal, so taking longer means it's not normal, no?

Put him on the 3rd pairing and he would do just great...

It's not about that, he is shutting down opposite players just fine. Problem is, he is holding onto the puck for too long instead of making the simple passes.

I'm not a huge Roy Dan, but Ribeiro is having a nice season.

Roy would be okay.. but I would not want Ribero in that Sens room. If the past is anything.. this guy is a character that the Sens should stay away from. He was trouble when he was in Mtl... was better in Dallas... but I just don't like him...

Calling him up now means they can pay him his NHL salary. Pretty big deal for Cowen.

Does he need to be called up in order to practice with the team?

Why exactly? What are you referring to in the Montreal room? Do you have a source?

It's pretty well know that Ribeiro and Theodore had problems with Koivu and Markov. So they shipped the fomer 2 as far away as possible. It's always the same issues, French Canadien, especially when they're young and talented, do immature stuff in Montreal.

Ribeiro is not French Canadian; he is actually of Portuguese descent.

He was born in Montreal though.
