Can't see why you wouldn't at least start the process of seeing what he wants.

Exactly. Kick the tires and see what he wants because right now he's the main reason the Sens are where they are along with strong goaltending. The guy has done everything on the backend and created stability for a lot of the younger guys.

Bad news on Anderson:

@SunGarrioch: Tomorrow it will be a month since Craig Anderson suffered what has turned out a high ankle sprain. He was day-to-day at the time. #Sens

Confirms what has been floating around about the high ankle sprain... what is the typical recovery for that? 6-8 weeks? Ugh.

You can bet it would be just before playoffs if he comes back. He should have gone on long term IRR, no idea wtf the Sens are thinking with some of these injuries.

Everything depends on the severity.

I still think he's been cooking with chicken.

Let's remember that this is Garrioch and I don't see him providing any quotes, links, citations, sources. Not disputing what he is saying, just that I have not seen any confirmation (unless that wasn't just a random tweet).

Anderson's last tweet was a month ago tomorrow:

Garrioch, while he knows next to nothing about the game itself is usually pretty accurate when it comes to news about the Sens.

Funny how nearly three weeks ago (March 1) he was on the ice, taking shots for the first time since the injury. I don't think he got back on the ice after than until 4 days ago, and this was just a light skate, no "goalie stuff" as someone put it.

So I don't think you can blame the Sens' staff for misdiagnosing it, it sounds like he overestimated how well he was doing and aggravated the injury.

Who knows but IMO he was probably worried about losing his job and wanted to get back quick. The funny thing is if he cant get healthy before the playoffs Lehner may have very well done that when it's all said and done.

Lehner is not stealing The Gregger's job. He'll be back playing for another Calder Cup while The Gregger takes the big club ALL. THE. WAY!!!!

There isn't a Sens fan that doesn't want Anderson back in nets soon to make sure he's ready for the playoffs where he is always solid but he needs to get back before the playoffs start. If Lehner and Bishop show they can do the job both in the regular season and playoffs...

I feel slightly guilty that I don't fully trust Bishop in nets. He's great, don't get me wrong, but I don't have the same calmness I have with Lehner or Andy.

Don't because a lot of people do. I didn't want to say anything last night when they were losing or after they won but Bishop isn't going to ever be a legit #1 guy. Not athletic enough and doesn't read the play nearly well enough either. Good goaltender, not a starter.

He seemed awfully deep in his net yesterday.

I think 5-hole Bishop should be his nickname.

Yeah, I don't see starter. I see an excellent kid to push your veteran goalie (hey Philly?), but I don't think I see the starter either.
