Pretty obvious how Murray and MacLean are building the team at this point. They play guys who know there job and don't do anything else besides that. "This is why you're here, do it and we'll win". It's worked.
plus barring he goes mad and scores a goal a game he's not shown he can stay healthy so i doubt his salary goes up by much next year.NEELY wrote:Latendresse isn't getting the love he should be right now. Landresse is known for slow starts, and that was cautioned this year. The injuries just slowed it down even more I guess. Hopefully he's ramping up to be hot just in time for playoffs.NEELY wrote:Latendresse has been front and center for a lot of goals the last week, just makes things that much harder for teams in their own zone. This is a guy that is showing his worth right now and exactly they reason they could deal Foligno.

might be looking for a little bit more term. but I imagine he's gotta be thinking that with this team doing so well with so many players out if they do bring him back he'll have a chance to have a much better season and get a better contract after that.Hoags wrote:Flo The Action wrote:plus barring he goes mad and scores a goal a game he's not shown he can stay healthy so i doubt his salary goes up by much next year.
They can sign him for a similar deal for next year (not sure if he qualifies for bonuses anymore) and basically challenge him to stay healthy and have a productive season.

His problems were not concussions, they were migrains so saying he won't stay healthy is totally inaccurate. Yah, he could get injured but it won't be because of an off and on head injury.
