edit: yep Michalek is out tonight with a "setback" on his knee. He is day-to-day.

F*ck. Michalek noticeably gave the team a boost, and a lot of quality offensive-zone time. That's a brutal loss if he's done for the season.

Diddley diddle. No Michalek. He sure gave us a boost. Latendresse will not exactly have the same effect on our lineup.

Here's hoping Lehner steals one.

Michalek won't be a day to day thing. He might be out for another month...

Surgery next?

First goal of the year for The Tender One? Let's hope so...

I see the game is only on RDS... brutal. Good thing I have NHL Gamecenter Live.

Anderson was day-to-day as well. They're either really optimistic or really bad with estimates.

He didn't look very good in his first few games here although you could tell he has talent. Hopefully he can keep up.

He tore his ACL right before the playoffs a few years and played 1 game in a brace before he injured it for good and was done.

What a shame, our top-6 looked 10X better with him in the lineup, I didn't even realize how much Michalek is part of this team's top-6.

So true, he creates a ton of space for other players. What a friggin shame, hopefully he shuts it down, has surgery and we can pick up a top six winger to replace him.

Hopefully Latendresse can do a similar job as Michalek did and give us a boost.

It's on Sportsnet East as well.

Ugh, Michalek is always hurt. Sucks you can't rely on a guy like that to play when it matters because he might go down. This is a reason why the Sens need a Corey Perry.

Should have been traded last off season

If he has the operation now he could be back for the playoffs which would probably be the smart thing to do. Just get it over with, no point in bouncing in and out of the lineup and creating uncertainty.

And, more importantly, he's putting himself at risk by playing on a bad knee.

We needed Corey Perry even if Michalek was always healthy. This just means we either like our depth, or we need another top six guy 'just in case'.

Not sure about that but it must be painful as hell.
