Hopefully they call him up if he plays well.
Probably needs 2 or 3 games to really get back into it. After that he is def the guy that is coming up next.

Methot too.
He's a Cussing beast out there.
If anyone on this team that is really enjoying the chance he's been given it's Methot. I'd say he's overwhelmingly happy to be in ottawa. he's a keeper.LeKing wrote:Hoags wrote:LeKing wrote:I think our defense is set for the future. I'm talking future like reaaaally long term. He'll probably be given every reason to stay but we never know with UFAs. I once thought Volchenkov would never leave.

Carkner was fine til he wanted a long term deal when his role was limited and he had a bum knee.
A-train was fine til (again) he wanted a long-term deal even though his style would greatly diminish his performance as he gets older. He doesn't seem to be doign as well in NJ and I haven't seem one incident of him destroying people like he did here.

Wow I wish Chiarelli, the Bruins and Boston media would Diddle off. You're not getting Alfie.
Seriously. Non story, even if we weren't right in the friggin middle of the playoff picture.
That's the thing that really mystifies me...when the media talks about an Alfie trade scenario, they seem to ignore the fact that we are currently very much in the playoff picture. Sportsnet was all over this subject last night, spouting off different trade circumstances...what a waste of time.
