The 1st round pick is totally off limits at this point. That could literally be the first overall at this point. The Sens will have trouble winning 5 games the rest of the way without Spezza and Karlsson.

Finding a way to get ROR would be ideal.

It feels like we just got eliminated from the playoffs......

ROR would make sense, or more importantly find someone to replace Gonchar behind EK on the RH side unless we plan on keeping him for another year.

Losing in game 7 to NJ in 03 was pretty bad... feels worse now because Karlsson was the best D man in the game and there is a risk he never gets to this level again.

They need a new identity the rest of the way.

I have to keep reminding myself it's just hockey, no one died, and I have a great life. That said this is about as bad as I could possibly feel strictly from a Sens/hockey fan perspective.

If there was ever a good time in the year for Karlsson to injure himself, it's right now. One, he will be back come game 1 next year and hopefully be great again and Ottawa will have a top 5 pick in this years draft.

But I have to say I can't even watch the replay anymore, it's really hard to watch...

yeah I can see that happening.

When the Pens are back in Ottawa on April 22nd there better be a response and a big one.

That said I think it's time they carry a heavyweight for the rest of the season. A guy that will protect the youth that is going to be taken advantage of if there is no one there to watch their backs.

Well it'll be an interesting test to see how they respond down the road.

If they show some fight and keep playing hard then we've got a good team with good character.

If the start mailing it in starting now then we have no shame I guess.

I mean you'd think the motto in the room is "It ain't over til it's over, never quit etc."
