But we can blame the ref that should have whistled that play dead moments before. The puck came out of play, but the refs missed it and let the play continue.

You're not trying hard enough. He came in, raised his foot and brought it down. He didn't have to do that, but he did.

If Karlsson was playing with Crosby and Malkin instead of JOB and Zibanejad, how many more points do you think he'd have? Think of a number before you read the rest.

Now, the difference between the Sens and Pens over 13 games is about 7 goals. Karlsson gets in on 1/3 of his team's goals so that's 2, maybe 3 points more for him. How does that compare to the number you thought of above? Be honest.

It doesn't compare, because what you said is silly.

No, seriously, did you think he would have 5 points more, maybe even higher? If you did, then you've got to wonder why the difference is really that small -- half a goal per game, one point every 6 games (going by the 1 in 3 rule). Not silly at all. Point is, the Sens are scoring because of Karlsson, while the Pens are scoring because of Crosby and Malkin. Letang is benefiting from playing with them, while the Sens' forwards are benefiting from playing with Karlsson.

Karlsson produces as much with or without Spezza. What is your evidence that Letang would not produce without Crosby/Malkin? None, that is not provable so this argumentation is going nowhere.

Word is Karlsson has a cut to his lower leg and will not return. Sens management doesn't like the play by Cooke.

BTW, that play was 100% accidental. If you think he did that on purpose you have issues with logic lol

Nope, still silly. You've simplified things to the point that they don't even make sense. Letang benefits from playing with 87 and 71, sure, but they benefit from his play as well. Karlsson is certainly the engine that drives Ottawa's offence, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't benefit from playing with other Sens too.
