I think he could be dealt personally. Even though I thought for sure he'd be a MacLean style player, he's done NOTHING. He could be a throw in with another mid level prospect for an NHLer.

Amazing the people that used to say they wouldn't trade him for Penner, lol.

He was a good player before all the injuries. That was in a different context/era

What a pass from Wiercioch last night. Beautiful set play.

Hopefully the flu clears soon. As for Spezza... gotta deal with that for a while. We need to score goals. Anderson's been doing his best out there and giving the team a chance every night.

Can we add Perry now? Please?

4 game home stand against "meh" teams should be enough to get the team back rolling again. One thing is for sure, Regin shouldn't be seeing another game for a while, he's not an NHL player.

I agree with Ev when he says Smith has been awful as well. He needs to figure it out quick as well because he's not getting the job done either.

One of those meh teams beat the Sens on Friday. The other - has a very good goalie in Miller... None of these games will be easy at all. If the Sens are having trouble scoring how about they shoot the puck more rather than opting for the pass.. and have the other forwards go to the net for rebounds. Other teams do it... why not try. There is no bad play if you shoot the puck on the net... you never know what may happen.

Well on that 2-on-1 JOB was not thinking pass but he still managed to not shoot. That was a very frustrating play.

Nope, he doesn't fit at all. He won't be waived just because of the Spezza injury but he won't be back next year, no chance. He will go the way of Scheubert.

IMO he never should have been re-signed. I was against it at the time. It's really tough because he got injured playing in his contract year, but this is a business. And, besides, I was never impressed with him from the start. He has always played much smaller than his size.

I thought Regin showed a lot of potential and had some really solid games and when they resigned him I thought it was a chance worth taking because he won't be asked to do anymore than a 3rd liner... hasn't worked out that way and it's a player that just hasn't worked out. A lot of luck has been with Ottawa the last 18 months and right now they are having some bad luck from Spezza getitng injured to Regin not being able to do the job. C'est la vie.

You just hope the Sens can work hard enough and score enough without Spezza to stay in the hunt for the playoffs until April.

Agreed. 'Meh' isn't the right word but I think Neely just means these aren't world beaters and there's a solid chance even as underhanded as we are to beat them.

I also wonder if we see Bishop this week....they haven't won in a while so I would guess not until next week when they play back to back against buffalo/pittsburgh.

It was a beautiful pass. I thought of Roundy's pass too.

Dane going down.

Wait. What? Did they send Regin down? Doesn't he have to clear waivers to be sent down?

He does. He will.

ETA: He's still on a one-way, though. But without a NMC I think they can send him anywhere they want.

Why are you using "ETA" as a post-script?
