Here, I pulled up a comparison using a couple of the Mustangs and some other cars from Consumer Reports.

When I think fancy car these days I think a nice tesla. That's where my money would go if I had money (to spend on a car)
Seriously EV go buy a Prius, you sound like a typical Prius driver to me. Plus the chicks really dig Prius drivers Naughty.

Im with you prags thought. 67 all The way. Nicely stored in the garage next to the 71 CB 750 modified.

Tesla would be my choice but it's 100k lmao. No thanks on a Prius.

Mustangs aren't too pricey for what you get. Especially if you don't get GT. It's not really a fancy car like a Porsche or something:

I probably won't end up getting one, at least not for a year, but not I'm not rolling in dough. It's just that I have my retirement savings maxed for now (not rrsp which I'm not using yet) and I have a pension at work so I can afford to buy something like this soon. At my age I want something fun to drive and fun to look at.

Aren't you buying a house sometime soon? I dunno man, speaking from experience, just about the worst thing you can do with your money is spend it on an expensive vehicle, especially a new expensive vehicle.

Ultimately, it's up to you. I can tell you that the worst financial decision I ever made was buying a new second vehicle instead of something cheaper.

Yes my house is factored in my budget. I'm moving this summer. But yeah I would not be buying a new car, for sure. Used all the way. Thanks for the tips.

Mustang - No idea why you'd waste your money, unless you have lots of it.  RWD cars are death here in the winter, so enjoy your accident(s). And I'm not exaggerating.

If you want something a little more practical but still fun to drive, go for a Mazda 3.

The new mustangs are much better drivers and can be used as a daily driver in all seasons. There is a snow/ice mode included which really grips the road. With good winter tires and not being an idiot you would be fine driving it here in the winter. There are plenty of accidents with AWD and FWD cars because of the drivers not knowing how to drive.

The last mustang I drove on a semi daily basis was 2011 or so I believe.

No interest in Mazda. My next car will be the new mustang either GT or EcoBoost, BMW 335i or an Audi.

Dude! You don't need techo-babble to justify wanting a Mustang. All you need is a little testosterone.

If you want any more info from Consumer Reports, just let me know. I know it's a pain in the butt doing research online for cars. Consumer Reports is by no means the Bible, but at least they're unbiased.

Do you have the consumer reports review for the Mustang EcoBoost?

Even the Germans are on board with the new mustangs, they sold 780 of them in Germany last month alone to cruise along on the autobahn. Lots of power for the price. I saw a few last summer when I was there, passing them in the Audi I was driving Sarcasm

Are they still around? Their website (parishplumbing.ca -- mentioned on their Facebook page and other places) is an "available" domain on GoDaddy. Called one of the numbers I found for them (706-0310) and it was not in use.

Didn't really want to start a new thread for this. I paid for my son's mobile plan (low-end PC Telecom plan) the past two years. Since I only said I'd pay two years' worth (thinking he would be in his co-op term by his third year) it's time for him to look for a replacement plan. He will be in McGill (Montreal) so there are different choices. He can mostly do without voice but he needs unlimited text (he never had data on his plan and wifi is almost everywhere so no need for that). His phone is still decent enough after 2 years so a BYOD plan is the most likely.

What's his best choice? Currently I've got him on a $30/month plan which gives him a small amount of anytime minutes (Canada-wide) and unlimited weekends/evenings. He will most likely want something cheaper than that. Not sure what PC does if you have a phone.

Wind only has partner coverage in Montreal so he'd have to get on one of their NA-wide plans; I think $40 is the cheapest (this is for 10 months, then $45) and probably could get another $5 off for a referral (technically I'd be getting the $5 off but maybe I could apply that to his bill).

What happened to all those promises of free phones for students just for watching a few ads?

Wow, the response has been underwhelming.

Does anyone know if PC Mobile allows WiFi calling? That's what my son has now and they have a $15 plan that will give him unlimited texting, but no air time (except to other PC Mobile numbers in the same calling area). I believe he is on the Bell network and Bell supports WiFi calling from what I'd read.

Your best chocie if you don't want data is to go with a prepaid plan or a pay as you go plan. Koodo and Fido have good options.

if you want data, Videotron is the best in Ottawa at the moment.
