there's always some excuse when they start losing a bit. The refs, the flu bug. If they actually had a flu bug you'd think more players than 1 would be out of the lineup.

Yep. Won against the Rangers and Boston before those two started sucking. It was gradual, for sure, but has accelerated of late.

Need a couple call ups to spark some offense. I love Klinkhammer and Greening and Condra, but two of them are playing in the top six (or at least were) and that's just not working. Those three are great for an energy line, but we need scoring. Petersson, DaCosta, Hoffman, hell, even Parrish, maybe.

I wouldn't get attached to Klinkhammer and Condra if I were you.

Why would someone lie about this?

Who was it that said that there is a flu bug running around?

Klinkhammer is a great name. And if the guy is playing 6-8 minutes a night on the energy line that's perfectly fine. Problem is he played nearly 14 minutes, Condra nearly 15, O'Brien 15:20, Greening 18. Foligno played 8 minutes! Something's not right. Why isn't Nick on that second line?

What I meant was, either give him 12-15 minutes or sit his a$$ out a few games.

Because Foligno had 12 PIM

That may be, but they've been playing Klinkhammer there for a while even though, apart from his hustle, he hasn't done much. And then they finally move Klink down and move Smith up. Meanwhile Foligno, who had earlier shown to have some chemistry with Alfie and Turris, has been stuck on the third line.

Yeah...or Daugavins - although I think they might keep him as the 13th forward because he's amazing in the locker room. I wouldn't really get too attached to anyone - they've all done an amazing job, but the fact that there's Silfverberg coming in for sure + possibly Zibanejad + Stone very soon + perhaps a wild card like Petersson or even Noesen or Hoffman, there are a couple of guys who we all like, that won't be around. Condra wouldn't be a guy I would let go of personally, but anyone from Condra to Foligno to even Z.Smith if the rumours are true about a lot of teams asking about him. You can package a couple of these guys and get someone better, you can move up the draft, you can get a young D-man, you can do a lot.

The locks are Spezza, Alfredsson, Michalek, Turris, but as always, the rest of the players after that are interchangeable - and I like some of these guys a lot.

This is getting serious. We can ill afford to lose again, yet we go to face the hottest team in the league on less than a day's rest.

Is that like a Neely guarantee - like guaranteeing that with the cushion the Sens have no one will catch up to them

If they don't win tomorrow, I'll give you $10 via paypal.

I'll make you a bet that the Sens lose tonight. Same bet, $10.

Yeah. I won't be taking that bet. I'm looking got my panic button right now. We might make it (jury is still out) but we won't be making noise the way we're playing right now. Backing into the playoffs is not much good. Sad

We need some sense of urgency. The same level of urgency other teams are playing with. I'm getting tired of the "team is fragile" excuse from the media.
