Yeah, but it was only a 1-year extension. So, nothing too huge that he can't cut him loose in the off season and save face, somewhat.

I don't get why GMs wait so long sometimes, make a deal or two or three!!

What does WSH do with Semin? They have to get something for him but I can't see any team which has good chemistry really going for him.

I can't see any playoff team wanting him nor do I see any team giving him more than he would otherwise make in the KHL next season.
