True, but they have a need for a #1. Has he been a #1 ever? Not that I know of. And no he hasn't been a #2 even, but it is also true that a player given #1 C minutes can produce close to #1 C points.

I would question the heart of any player who would willingly play for Columbus.

Ya, his production doesn't warrant putting him on the second line, so we'll just bump him up to the first. His problem has probably been that he just needed first line minutes. I'd put money on him breaking the 70-point threshold next season.

I don't think the vast majority of guys who have played for Columbus have work ethic issues…I think playing in that kind of environment for an extended period just sucks the killer instinct out of you.

Yup - 41 in 63 games with the Leafs, which is my point - he is not a true top 6 forward, but was forced into that position and produced like one.

Also scored 32 in 77 with Tampa, but not as good as 08-09 in Toronto.

When Murray had the infamous conversation with Burke about Kadri. Murray says "I'll flip you..." the. Burke cuts him off. I really wish we were able to hear the rest of what Murray was about to say.
