2012 NHL Draft

We will draft a defenceman. It all depends on who is left at 15. The guy I want is Griffin Reinhart, but he'll be gone by 15 most likely.

Trouba, Maata, Ceci, Lindholm...I'm fine with any of these guys.

He mentioned it on Montreal radio last night. They have a better lineup than the low-rent offerings in Ottawa.

The kid I would love to see, like I said is Trouba. That's the player that will slip right in come 2, 3 years down the road and be a beast.

I'd bet heavily it's the guys who haven't been shown/discussed in Sens draft videos.

Slater Koekkoek, Sebastian Collberg, Hampus Lindholm, Tom Wilson. Would be my Top 4 right now.

Interesting, possible huge, shocking news coming out of the draft is that if Edmonton takes Murray 1st overall (or anyone not Yakupov), that it is very likely that Columbus will pass on him (the Zherdev/Filatov fear) factor).

This would mean Montreal would pick Yakupov at 3rd.

If not, would Montreal take Grigorenko somehow? Quebec Remparts connection.

Off Topic, but that is a terrible tie on Murray in your avatar. Simply terrible. It looks like one of those stupid optical illusions where if I stare at it long enough a schooner will appear.

Can you imagine....Montreal would get a trade offer they couldn't refuse for the 3rd overall IMO.

Tom Wilson is a great player, I know him personally and well he is a very level headed guy.

Which still leaves us with a young goaltender with definite value. Intriguing. Could this set up a 2nd deal?

So maybe now the del would be Zibby + Foligno + Puempel/Noesen/Stone and/or + 15th
