Actually wait, I assume he will get sent down once Daugavins is ready to go again

It would benefit the team more than putting Filatov on the 4th line for about 10 shifts a game. Why use somebody in a role he isn't comfortable with? Send him down ASAP. The team would be better off with guys in their proper roles. Filatov is not ready for NHL action.
Big Ev wrote:I actually liked some of Butler's game tonight. Looks like he's getting there. I'd throw him out there with Foligno and Da Costa some more. It's still only his third game of the year.
Filatov definitely wasn't a reason they lost. You're not going to be a factor with 6 minutes of ice time. I'm just so puzzled as to why they call him up for that role, unless Kurt Kleinendorst said get him the Diddle out of my town ASAP.
Mark Parrish would be a better fit for a bottom 6 role right now, but it's unlikely they call him up. He provides a bit of leadership which is needed iof Alfie is out.
SpezDispenser wrote:That was a very hard game to watch. Damn...games like that are both really frustrating and really depressing, hate that feeling of it being 2-2 and knowing we're about to be scored on again at any second.
Game could have been 15-2, but Anderson still needs to be a lot better if that makes any sense. Da Costa, Foligno and Butler appeared to be about the only players who wanted to play. Spezza can't get up for those physical games thus far.
And honestly, why the Diddle is Filatov in Ottawa and not Bingo.
Blah...

Not sure he's the answer, but again, depends on the price.

Price will probably be steep (steep for what Turris is .. an unproven prospect).
I'm not sure if he's worth it, Regin is back in 6 weeks. Giving up a few assets for what might be a bust doesn't sound like a good idea.
Big Ev wrote:McKenzie, Dreger, and LeBrun say the Sens have exceptional interest in him. Calgary too (calling every day about him).
SpezDispenser wrote:Our 2nd rounder plus Wiercioch, or do they even care. Foligno +? Risky business either way IMO, but Murray and Mac would know, especially Mac having seen him in Detroit.
Big Ev wrote:Do it now. Turris has serious potential. He can play, he's shown it.
He has already proven he isn't a bust. Just needs time and ice time.
