Game Day: Ottawa @ Pittsburgh, 7:00PM, BLACK Friday, November 25, 2011

I know this is early but I've been back to work for 3 days now just itching to get this out (I've been off work for 6 months). I also know that you gotta get up early in the morning to beat the regulars at their own game of putting out the GDTs.

A successful road trip that started with a win over the much hated Leafs ended with an OT loss to the "most hated" team in the league in the Vancouver Canucks. With this layoff the Sens have a chance to heal up bumps and bruises and perhaps they can keep the streak alive and not fall into another slump.

Next up of course is the Pittsney Croguins. Crosby had 2 goals and 2 assists his first game back after being off since January but I expect most of that was due to pure excitement and adrenaline. He'll still be tough to contain though and shouldn't be taken lightly just don't expect another 4 point outburst. If the Sens can just hang around in this game they've certainly shown they can score in bunches in third periods to tie and even win games in regulation. I certainly won't be expecting much other than hard work this game and a win would be a pleasant surprise.

A tad early, but it's always nice to see a GDT, especially when it's the first thing you see after your laptop comes back from the dead (couldn't connect to any network, wired or wireless, at work or at home -- system restore did the trick).

Actually the road trip started in Buffalo...

Sens are really in tough in Pittsburgh.

Down the middle -- Pitts has Malkin, Crosby, Staal... Sens have Spezza and a few inexperienced centres... not much else to add.

Probably see Fleury in nets... Pitts will want the 2 pts.

A crisp one hundred dollar bill to whoever gives crybaby Crysby a two-hander to the windpipe.

Shabbs made a similar mistake when he said they were heading out on a 4-game road trip after they had played two games already.

You could also say this is a one-game road trip to Pittsburgh, since the Sens will have been home for 3 days before packing up again. Weird schedule.

But they returned home in between the gaps... they are all "road" games but the gaps in between break it up.
