True, Anderson is a difference maker, but to think he will win us every game is unreasonable.

Though Florida's got a really deep team, but I only question their goaltending, but with the defence they have, that may not be a huge issue. I think we can split the Leafs series.

I'll say going 3 and 9 is about right (lumping all the losses into one, not differentiating between OTL and SOL.) Columbus has had the Sens number on occasion, and it is a very tough call which way this one will go. It's possible that they could go 4-8.

You really have to think that any team that is considered a playoff contender is a guaranteed loss for the Sens. If the Sens can beat a contender, then by logic, they are a contender, which I do not think they wil be. Otherwise the rebuild/retool was short lived.

With the parity in the league, every team is in every game. If what you said above were true, why bother with an 82 game schedule? If the better team wins every time, why not just have a round robin tournament instead of a regular season? In fact, why bother with a 7-game series playoff structure? They should just have an elimination tournament. Winner stays on until the cup is decided.

The better team does win though. There's a reason Ottawa didn't go to game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals this past year, as did many other teams. The two best teams did though, and Boston won.

There are obviously instances of upsets, but realistically, a team not considered a contender, in the midst of a rebuild or retool isn't going to beat a playoff contender 4 out of 7 times.

I only said he would win one of those games (Detroit, Washington, Philadelphia). He will also win an even higher percentage of the close games. SG11 posted a review of the game against the Sharks where he was outshot 51-16 and won in OT when Boyle accidentally shot the puck past his own goalie trying to clear it behind the net.

He did something similar against the Bruins a few days ago.

Also, if they went 6-6 or 7-5, that would be at minimum a 50% win percentage. Extrapolated over a full season, that would be about 41 wins at best. Not saying for certainty that would be the case, but highly unlikely that a team not expected to make the playoffs is a .500 team.

Last year there were 6 non-playoff teams with a .500 or better record.

Except you've only picked one game correctly. Your picks made no sense that I can see. Picking them to beat the Wings, Leafs (on the 2nd half of a back-to-back), Caps, and Flyers? Huh?

Well the Sens are already at 3 wins, which is the minimum I predicted, as I said they'd probably go 3-9 or 4-8. They ended up winning three games I predicted as losses (WIld, Jets and Jackets).

Thought those teams would coast thinking it was an easy victory. It always happens. Sens used to beat the best teams and lose to the Dung ones.

The record is all that matters. I'm on my way!

Thanks! I patted myself on the back for that one too. I'm close with the predictions so far! Dancing Of course I'd rather run the table with the last 4 games though...

7-4-1 to start the year. Sens actually have it very easy to start which is a good thing, might be able to gain some confidence right off the bat. If they can even pull one out in Detroit I think they may very well be in the division lead coming out of October.

Really lucky they have so many home games against teams on the same level for the most part.

Not too bad... got all the wins right thus far. Hopefully my predicted 4 game winning streak stays alive.

Ya very well done. I don't think anyone predicted the Colorado drubbing. Maybe the Philly one though.
