Lessard: What's his place on the team?

I tell you, I'll be real pissed if our best looking forward from last night is out for any length of time because of Lessard.

I know training camp is competitive.. but why would he do a thing like that?

That's a cheap shot on your own 'teammate'.

If I'm McLean that's the last he sees the ice.

Maybe he should have exerted more energy last night hitting some Leaf players.

Filatov is back out for the 2nd period. He's fine(ish).

I'm sure it was done on MacLean's orders so Filatov can learn to keep his head up and not get too cute. You should be thanking Lessard for years to come if it actually worked.

I would not be at all surprised if MaClean asked him to give him a bit of a run -- nothing to hurt him but just to get a hit in -- kind of like NEELY said might make him realize it's not going to kill him. That said, Lessard does not strike meas the most intelligent, mature individual out there, and I don't think MacLean knows enough about him. If he *did* ask him to do that, then he probably should have asked someone else; someone with more common sense.

Why would he ask someone else if he ended up doing exactly what was asked (if it was asked)?
