hockey Pool 2011-12

Well, I based my choices on what was there. I thought star points were counted at first, but when I checked they didn't seem to be - and that seems to be what it says currently - just wins and shutouts.

The player rankings had goalies very far down the list - I think most of us drafted accordingly.

seriously? wtf. Right after I took Anderson, all the talk was about how he'd be a star in x# of games this year... I never would have taken him in the 6th round or wherever... No star points makes goalies pretty much worthless.

Meh, we all went with the same gameplan, it was all pretty even. We'll see how it shakes out now.

well I got Cussed. that's what happens I guess when you can't attend a draft and put it on automatic. this sucks.

Guys goalies do apply to the stars rule......(I think)

EDIT - never mind, sorry guys, I don't want to make anyone mad by having it, even I thought it applied to goalies as well.

so it does or doesn"t one way or another it sounds like people aren't going to be happy. personally I picked thinking it mattered and that goalies got 2 points for a win. pretty pointless now.

goalies dont get star points. the scoring rules were on the site for anyone to check. changing them now would be ridiculous

I chose my goalies on the basis of the rankings, which took into account the fantasy points they were projected to earn and would have earned last season by the rules of our pool. I noticed that goaltenders were ranked very low. I didn't notice they weren't getting star points until later in the draft, but I chose my goalies as late as I did because they seemed to rank low in terms of potential fan points. I also chose them more or less completely on their potential wins.

I see how there was confusion, but I think changing the scoring now that we've drafted has the potential to really screw those of us who drafted on the basis of the current system.

yeah I did never check the potential points for points for anyone. I did my own evaluations. I got screwed.
