Winnipeg is a bigger city than Ottawa. If you count in Gatineau, you have to also talk about having to cross the river on dinky one-lane bridges. Ottawa is also more spread out, with a river/canal making the trip longer in some cases.

But, yes, Ottawa is not a "put your money where your mouth is" kind of town.

Agree with everything except the outrageous comment that 'peg is bigger than Ottawa. That's just silly. U can't be meaning area wise either....
