Naw, Central Scouting is just challenged. EJ had some tools working for him.

Murray thinks moving up to #3 might be possible. Panthers are #3
We could have had RNH, Prince AND Zibanejad. Now we're gonna end up, if that happens, with probably Landeskog only.
Diddle this Dung. I am Cussing frustrated. Sign me up for Yakupov/Galchenyuk. WIth our luck we probably will lose the one we pick to the KHL.
Yeah, and I could have been the pope.
I don't even get the point of this post. At one point with 10 games left approximatively we were 2nd last, Nashville was 12th last and then we had the 32nd pick too.
Maybe you were too busy reading the Bible ?
Did you honestly believe those spots were going to hold up?

Fine with me, I'll take Huberdeau. Assuming 2 defensemen get drafted before him.
I'll be happy with either of those 2, I still have my reservations about Couturier. Strome would be my first choice though has he has seemed to pick his game up going through the playoffs and into tougher games.
I think NJ will be drafting a D man as well.

I'm not gonna say any team is gonna pick anybody. We always say we should pick the best available player well I'm sure most team fell the same way.

Yep,
Landeskog is almost a full year older Huberdeau and RNH are only a couple of months older. I think Ottawa could entice Florida to trade down to 6th if Ottawa really wants Landeskog, but for me I think Strome has a higher upside. I could be wrong, but from everything I've read about Strome and Landeskog the difference is do you want more scoring (strome) or more responsible play in both ends of the ice. (Landeskog). Well that and one is a winger other is a center.
I'd still take Strome in a heartbeat...I'm crazy like that, but I still think that Gryba is our top D-man down in Bingo. Strome has so much offensive talent that if that's what you want from a player then I think he's easily our choice. Couturier is interesting. I wonder how much of his decline is much like Tavares. We've been looking at him for so long, people are starting to find minor issues with his game and making them out to be big ones. He's great in faceoffs, skating is good, offense is great and his defensive zone awareness is great. Any other issues that exist can be corrected. Plus my father always said, you can't teach size.
