We'll see, Florida isn't the same as Chicago for a number of reasons.

Yeah but I also think from a business perspective, he is the top choice for that team and it's not even close.

How is a Swedish winger a great thing (over any other player) from a business perspective? Most Panthers fans will have no idea who he is probably.

SpezDispenser wrote:The question is still 100% valid IMO - does Landeskog have a better chance of being a point producer in the NHL as Huberdeau? Or Courturier? Or Strome? We all have no idea and frankly, it sounds like it's pretty close. At least we're getting one of these guys.

Toews and M.Richards are perfect examples of elite players who are not PPG guys. PPG is just a number, nothing more. The great players are the ones that score when it matters and can lead a team. Landeskog if that player.

Obviously that's the book on him right now, but with guys that have tons of character coming up through the ranks, do the Sens ultimately need some upper echelon skill?

I think all those guys will be better contributors than Landeskog as far as points.

Couturier is the guy I'm backing though. I think everyone realizes that by now. Rockon

He looks like ET with that neck. Ahhhhh!

RNH and Hall are gonna make some kind of duo. Wow. (If they pick him)

He's a big top line winger who will probably become the captain in less than 2 years there. In fact, of all the teams in the top 6 it's prbobaly the team where he would likely become the Captain the soonest.
He'd be a very easy guy to market IMO. Very vocal, perfect interviewer (compared to Jbo Facepalm ), gives 100% every single shift etc.
I think he would sell quite the number of jerseys, compared to a guy like Couturier for instance.

With Eberle too. the powerplay will be scary down there, on the blue line though it will look like Dung.

If we pick another D-man, regardless of who is still there at 6, I am switching teams. Period, full stop.

Adam Larsson is sick though.

Future D of Cowen-Karlsson, Larsson-Rundblad would be insane.

This was the final kick to the nuts to what has been a very painful season.

For the past couple of days I've jumped onto the Huberdeau bandwagon after realizing Landeskog won't be around - I got really excited for Hubs. Now it's looking like he won't be around either for our pick - F***!!!

My only hope is that the Devils or Islanders have fallen in love with either Hamilton or Murphy and we get the option to select Couturier - IMO is a guy that is being criminally underrated and would be a BEAST as second line center behind #19.

Knowing the way this team consistently kicks us straight in the groin - repeatedly, we'll end up with Strome, who despite putting up huge numbers in the O, doesn't really excite me or interest me all that much.

IMO, we keep looking at the forwards in the draft because that's our need. I don't know much about Hamilton or Murphy, but it's reasonable to think that the other teams (particularly NJD and NYI) are looking hard at the D options.
