Fine with me, I'll take Huberdeau. Assuming 2 defensemen get drafted before him.

Nope, just comparing Strome vs Couturier in that one area.stempniaksen wrote:SpezDispenser wrote:shabbs wrote:Strome's a Burke-type player... physical, gets dirty... Why do you say that?
Is he?
Not really, no.
Maybe 'ol Shabbers is referring to Landeskog? Or is pulling an SSF?

He says the Sens have expressed a ton of love for Strome this season. When was this? I rarely hear them talk about any specific player (only time I did was last night when BM was gushing over Landeskog.
oh and he thinks Couturier will go 1st overall
Michallica wrote:Yeah Strome is the youngest one of the bunch and probably wouldn't play with the sens for another 2 seasons at least. But I think he's gonna be the one picked now that Da Costa is signed as well. There isn't that urgency to get in a bonafide 2nd line center since the team is retooling, and at the same time gives Regin or more importantly DaCosta a chance to prove their worth in the upcoming season.

I wish it went down like this, but I would bet good $$ the Sens go out and acquire a 2nd line C from somewhere - either UFA (which I don't see many of) or via trade. Either way, I've heard it too many times now, it sounds like Murray wants an 'experienced scorer for the top 6', which as I recall the panels were laughing about because doesn't everyone?
If I had a guess, it would be between Leino, Tanguay and Laich - and who even knows which of these guy will be re-signed before they hit UFA - or choose a different, closer to a Cup team.

Murray thinks moving up to #3 might be possible. Panthers are #3
We could have had RNH, Prince AND Zibanejad. Now we're gonna end up, if that happens, with probably Landeskog only.
Diddle this Dung. I am Cussing frustrated. Sign me up for Yakupov/Galchenyuk. WIth our luck we probably will lose the one we pick to the KHL.
Yeah, and I could have been the pope.
I don't even get the point of this post. At one point with 10 games left approximatively we were 2nd last, Nashville was 12th last and then we had the 32nd pick too.
Maybe you were too busy reading the Bible ?

Naw, Central Scouting is just challenged. EJ had some tools working for him.
