I went to The Works last Friday. They are having some kind of bacon extravaganza. I had a burger that had deep-fried (breaded) bacon on it. It was quite tasty.

To be specific, it was the "Bacon Me Crazy Burg".

Oh yeah! Thought it sounded familiar. You got the deep-fried bacon as an app, whereas I had it on my burger. I always have to get the Tower o' Rings as my app, with the chiptole mayo and whatever my wife wants as the other dipping sauce. The deep fried bacon was surprisingly good...I thought it might be overkill, but it worked. My only complaint is I think they should pre-cook the bacon a little before deep-frying it, as I'd like mine to be a little crispier.

High fat, moderate-high protein, low carb. Under 20 g of carbs per day for me so far.

Thinking of doing it but I lift 6 days a week, I might pass out or something.

Ah, I see. It's a diet. For losing weight? Building muscle? Both?

Best of luck.

Just cutting fat right now - it's pretty tough to do both at the same time. I'll stop and build muscle soon.

It's not bad so far...bacon every day is great. Wendy's baconator is unreal.

Hey Ev, I'm going to get a breakfast poutine tomorrow. Fries, cheese curds, gravy, scrambled egg, bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese. I'll eat extra for you.

Are you tracking your sodium and/or cholesterol intake?

Good luck.

Love the Baconator, but I'm reducing how much I eat out, way too much sodium in most foods.

Reminds me of that South Beach Diet back in the day when everyone was going low carb, high protein... not sure how good that is long term.

Sounds about right, way too much sugar and carbs in the NA diet.

Not tracking the specific amount personally but you actually want a lot of sodium in this diet as a main electrolyte source. You can eat whatever you want as long as it's no-low carb.
