Went to a new "gourmet" hot dog/poutine food truck in Stittsville. Big D's something something. It's in the used car lot right across from the Mr. Gas on Hazeldean if anyone knows where that is. Pretty good actually. Had a hot dog with cheese sauce, sour cream, and Doritos on it. Wife had a "fajita" dog with peppers/sour cream/some other stuff....we split a poutine that had bacon and beans....It was all quite edible.

You should've seen the way she took down that Big D. Like she had been starving for it all day.

Anyone try McDonald's poutine yet? Obviously you're not going to get a nice hearty Quebec poutine, but still...if I can get poutine as a side instead of regular fries...well...that's a pretty easy decision to make.

Did they change the poutine or just the packaging?

I think the poutine is made from packaging. Very recycle friendly :D

I know they used to have poutine a long time ago...have they always had poutine? I assume they are "re-launching" it after maybe having changed the recipe?? ANYBODY?

I think it's quite good. They use cheese curds and it's a BBQ-style gravy.

As a poutine connoisseur, ie. guy who eats lots of poutine pretty indiscriminately, I would say that the McD's fry doesn't really suit poutine. See for yourself but that's my take.
