Are they closed Sunday or open late? I was in Barrhaven and wanted to get a pizza to visit my father in law. Called San Marino, they never picked up. Ended up settling for PizaHut.

They used to close at around 10 on Sundays, but I don't know if that's still the case. Either way, if you haven't tried SanMan yet, you gotsta. Nod

No it was Sunday afternoon, not late. And, yes, I had it once before (only once because I don't live in Barrhaven, but I have activities there often enough -- I should move, really).

Guess what I've got waiting for me for a later supper when the kids are in bed? San Marino's large, half-combination, half-mediterranean,

I thought for sure I'd have a lunch left over, but no. Boys each had a piece on the way home (actually, that's why I got a large and not a medium) and my wife and I finished off the rest.

What are some of the other ones they have? I used to love Willy's "chicken fajita pizza" but I didn't see anything like that on their menu. What are people's favorites?

I'm a simple man when it comes to pizza. Pepperoni for me.

Their website confirms they only open at 4P on Sunday:
http://www.sanmarinopizza.ca/

And here's the menu -- now tell me what I should try:

Sure. I just don't really like a pile of different things. I'm honestly more likely to get a plain cheese or a pepperoni pizza than anything else. Shrug

Ha. I'd be happy to pay more of we had a restaurant. Unfortunately, restaurants aren't part of the northern appeal.

Go-to za: pepperoni, bacon, and either chicken or italian sausage.

Win. None of those liberal hippie veggie toppings. Just a waste.

Not true! Have you ever tried the pizzas from the deli counter at discount grocery stores? That's almost not even pizza. I remember my mom picked one up when my brother and I were at her house helping clean out the basement. We all took one or two bites, then she ordered one from SanMan.

I miss San Marino pizza. I miss it every day and with every fiber of my being. Crying

I ate a Spicy Perogy Burger last night at Boston Pizza. I went to get the Pizza Burger, but then I saw the Perogy Burger on the menu and couldn't resist.

My wife got the Pizza Burger, and it was underwhelming...the Perogy Burger though...yum.

Also! If you think any kind of pizza is good, go to the grocery store and buy a Red Baron pepperoni pizza. Here in northern Saskatchewan (where groceries are almost twice the price in most cases), a full-size pizza costs $2.50. I gave it a try. It is not good. I challenge you to try it and tell me that it is.
