Agreed, Sriracha can get you the heat without the burn...Cap'n Clutch wrote:shabbs wrote:Well, I guess they are "chili peppers" to some degree, but I don't think there is any cayenne in Sriracha.Cap'n Clutch wrote:shabbs wrote:It's a different type of heat and flavour... Frank's is made from cayenne peppers... the "Rooster" sauce is made form chili peppers with vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. It all depends on your mood...Cap'n Clutch wrote:I prefer the Rooster sauce. Nice kick with flavour and it's just the right thickness and not runny and watery like most hot sauces.

The cayenne pepper—also known as the Guinea spice, Cow Horn Pepper, aleva or bird pepper[1] or, especially in its powdered form, red pepper—is a hot, red chili pepper used to flavor dishes...
I was just bugging you anyway. I'm not a big hot sauce fan in general but when I want some I use Sriracha because I like the flavour with the heat and my tongue doesn't burst into flames after.

Taste of the Danforth here in Toronto is awesome. So much good food to be had on the street.
Damn good.

Yeah when I worked downtown Marroush is what everyone swore by.
Really good stuff although you form a small lake of grease when you're done.
I need to find a new Pizza place to go, all the big names have turned me off lately, and that Gabriel's commercial is so annoying.
My wife's from California so she tends to laugh at most of the food in Ottawa, especially the Mexican stuff. However since she's Japanese we go for sushi a lot and it's pretty decent in places.
Greek food is really good here though, I keep forgetting to go to the Greek Festival in the summer.
