Not a bad first period.

I'm starting to get worried. We need to get rid of a few more NHLers but there's no guarantee we would start losing more.

Lee is playing solid. Even that play where he tripped over his own shadow, he recovered and made the simple play of pinning the forward to the boards (that should have been a goal, but whatever).

Haha. Better that than Gonchar. Hell, I'd rather rotate it amongst the kids.

Spezza is and has been playing very well recently. He's "the guy" at the moment, which is good for him IMO.

I'm beginning to get nervous about how good we look, though. Not sure we can afford this, especially when Anderson is still unsigned, and not sure if we can really trust in this continuing into next season because they're playing with no pressure on them (like the Leafs).

Us missing out on the top-4 AND losing Anderson would suck, though I suppose then we'd just end up tanking for the 2012 draft.

Tanking for 2012?

This year is perfect. The fans have accepted this, and we are already so close. I'm going to be CHOKED if we drop out of the top four at the draft. I don't want to have to use another asset to trade up.

MacIlhinney needs lots of work.
