What is Mathieu Chouinard up to these days? Maybe he's an option. Certainly a better option than Leclaire.

I'm not saying he will be traded, but I don't think it matters to management if certain players are in the lineup or not. A Carkner injury would not stop them from trading Phillips if they had a deal they like on the table.

There are any number of players they can call up or even play with 5 defencemen if they have to. On ice results are not the priority right now.
