I didn't think it was really a danger before, but we're definitely in danger of losing our foothold on the 2nd overall pick. Stupid Colorado.

Man, they're a disgrace, it's almost funny - except for Sens fans - and possibly Oilers' fans, but the Oilers suck as well, so...yeah...hopefully we can hold onto 3rd overall and do as we please with it - RNH, trade down for Strome, doesn't matter, should be a nice player.

Oilers are brutal. They have 1 shot against the Pens through 1 period. They did the same thing the other night against Philly.

Edit: My mistake they have 2 shots.

Which included a 1:53 5 on 3 that they were absolutely horrible in. Like, I'm talking Senators at the beginning of the year horrible.

I'm starting to thing that this "big-four" we keep hearing about is actually a "big-eight" and that we are getting a nice future piece regardless. Obviously we all have personal preference (including the Sens organization) so having our pick of the crop would be awesome, but there is a lot of talent out there.

BTW the Nuge will be on SNET Ontario tonight at 7m against Calgary. 3rd game in 3 nights so they might be a lil tired

Look at the roster. THe best player would be a choice between Eberle and Horcoff

We have one of Chicago's, Calgary's or Atlanta's 2nd rounder this year. IF all 3 miss the playoffs, that is potentially a 10+ spot earlier pick.
So ultimately since CAL and CHI are competing with Nashville also, we want Anaheim and Minnesota to take the last 2 spots in the playoffs, with Chicago, Calgary and Nashville not making it.

Bottom line, I don'T know which one of that and us getting a top 2 overall pick is more of a pipe dream (insert crying smiley here)

Definitely the latter. COL is the playing the worst hockey of all 30 teams right now, bar none.
