I agree that Florida is a bigger threat than NYI. Colorado may be a threat to our pursuit of a higher draft pick also.

Col has an NHL lineup front to back. They will win their fair share of games. Probably something like 6-12 or 7-11, which is awful but not bad enough for The Sens to pass them and that's with The Sens playing above 500 hockey, which I bet a large amount won't happen.

In other news, Rundblad now with 50 pts and 2nd all time in the SEL by defensemen.

He's proving the haters wrong. He was the #1 pick for a reason (i.e. better than Duchene).

I like Tavares but I still think Duchene is going to be the better player and is the better player, I said that before they were drafted and I stand by that.

I think the Rundblad hype is getting a little out of control here, it's great he's tearing up The SEL and all but lets see what he does in The NHL next year. I don't want to seem like I'm not excited about this guy The SEL is not The NHL.

I think it's good to get excited, but not have too high expectations. I don't think anyone here expects him to dominate the NHL.

I think there are a few people who do expect that. If he is somewhat dependable in his own end next year and limits his turnovers while putting up 20-25 points, I think that will be a very good rookie season. Anything beyond that is gravey.

I think if he gets some good PP minutes he could reach the 30 pts plateau.
I think his overall game will pretty much depend on the goalie and the coach.

RNH with a hat trick last night. ALl beauties.

EDIT: A nice hit at center ice at 2:45 too.

I'll say between 30 and 35 points and he'll be an adventure in the defensive zone almost nightly.

That's way too optimistic.

He'd have to get some serious PP times to get that. As it stands right now, Karlsson and Gonchar are higher on the depth chart.

Isn't he an offensive defenceman? I mean, if Karlsson can put up 30+, why can't Rundblad?

I think he might be a guy they put in PP1 from time to time if it's stagnant with Gonchar and Karlsson + he should be a lock on PP2 with Kuba, that alone should net him some points. I could be shooting too high, perhaps mid 20-30.

Maybe, but I won't be upset if he gets 20 points, I know he'll continue to improve his totals as he learns the pro game.

Have you been watch The Sens this year? He has to out play Gonchar and Karlsson for top PP mins and he wont be seeing quality mins for a while. He's not going to be put in a position where he can put up those kind of numbers in his rookie season.

People are really setting themselves up for a disappointment.

Not saying he can't but Karlsson was our only offensive option for a while and Rundblad won't be.

Perhaps the best PP D man of all time in Gonchar is putting up basically 1/2 of this normal career numbers and Rundblad is going to come in as a rookie playing less mins and the 2nd PP unit and out produce him? Happen not gonna.

To be honest no I haven't watched the Sens much, I would try but school, and other things were more important. I guess its a good thing that there are two PP lines then, right?
