Bob Hartley is perfect IMO. A son of a ****, but we only need him for a year or two, tough, good system.

Big no to Hartley, there's a reason this guy is still kicking around RDS. When I think of Hartley he is the epitome of 'old NHL coaching'. I don't know if any of these "big name" coaches are guys that should be anywhere near this team based on the fact that the game is changing/changed.

I loved "Captain Kirk" back when he payed for the Habs, but he has no experience other than as an AC.

Also, whereas Clouston never smiles, Muller does nothing but smile. Might freak the players out.

Honestly, I would snatch Muller up because he has paid his dues and he is chomping at the bit to get a shot. And who cares about that 'once a Hab, always a Hab' crap! He would coach any team very well IMO!

Yes, I am a wee bit biased, as I met him at a poker tourney 2 years ago in Niagra but still, he is due and if Melnyk doesn't try, someone surely will!
And he has been an active AC so he knows first-hand how the game has changed.

Also, I think he can kick Donkey when needed: plus young guys 'might' be more
Apt to respect a guy who has quite a bit of experience in the show (no offense CC).

Muller has also learned under one of the best in Jacques Martin. Say what you will about JM, he is a very good coach.

They said the same about Quenneville IIRC.
