GAME DAY:Ottawa Senators @ Philadelphia Flyers - 7:00pm ET - THU. Jan. 20 2011
"Don't live a little, live a lotto"
The Ottawa Senators (17-23-7, 41 pts) visit the Philadelphia Flyers (30-11-5, 65 pts) Thursday night. Ottawa had another strong effort and was dominating the Ducks for long stretches on Thursday night at SBP. Was it the same old same old? Not entirely. Sure they couldn't score as usual but this was different. They were getting more quality chances, Butler looks like he "gets it", and the terrible turn-overs didn't cost them goals. I personally don't like using the hot goalie excuse but come on. This is a challenged offense up against one of the best goalies in the league if not THE best so I cut the Sens a little slack here. Don't get me wrong I think losing is the way to go right now but at least that game showed they care and that maybe they're not too far off from fixing this for next season or the season after.
Philly is on fire lately and will be getting Pronger back which makes this match-up even more unfair. It has all the makings of a game that could get ugly fast. Ottawa is out matched in every aspect in this game so buckle your seat belts because the tank bus is headed for some rough roads!
