Players that I wouldn't mind seeing in an Ottawa uniform for the 2011-2012 season include TJ Oshie; he would be a fan favorite after the home opener. Wishful thinking includes Andrew Ladd and Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau. Joel Armia is the forward in want Murray to draft.

Hopefully this post will move this thread back on the tracks for you.

According to this he is going to Colorado in the 2nd round.

When's the last time the Sens took a Finn in the draft? Janne Kolehmainen in 2005 -- the same year we drafted Zubov. The last Finn we drafted who actually played was Dahlman (22 games in the NHL and now officially retired).

I don't keep tabs on draft position to be honest, but I would be floored if Armia goes that low, I'm shocked right now actually.

He has top 10 talent IMO.

To provide a different perspective, this mock draft has him going 6th, which is also where the ISS has him ranked.

6th? And here I am thinking that Armia would slide under the radar because he was from Finland.

Anyway, at this rate, Ottawa will have a lottery pick so maybe Nugent-Hopkins or Couturier aren't pipe dreams after all.

I can remember Chicago winning the lottery in 2007. They were supposed to pick 5th, but ended up with the 1st overall selection.

For some reason I think Washington won the lottery as well and moved up some spots to grab Ovechkin.

I could be wrong, it is late and I'm tired.

You're correct. They moved ahead of Chicago and Pittsburgh to grab Ovechkin.

Pittsburgh had the original #1 spot, they finished with 1 less point than Chicago and Washington. So Ovechkin and Crosby could be both be Penguins right now (well, maybe having Ovechkin would have made Pittsburgh a better team the following year, but you know what I mean).

You and your stats. You certainly know your stuff. I used that website you gave me the other day to settle an argument between clients. It came in handy.
