The Blue Fin (47th at BWay) is a bit pricey, but the pan seared halibut I had was fantastic. Still hungry, though. All that walking and dodging yellowcabs.

Now, a couple episodes of The Killing to get our money's worth from that $12.95 WiFi. Then I think we are done. This was a hard day on the old bones. A lot of walking. Back to family life tomorrow.

Wow, reports are that Robin Williams has died -- apparent suicide. Very sad. As Mork used to say, "Heavy sigh".

Jesus. That's nuts. He was always manic, I guess he had enough.

That was probably my favorite Williams role (Dead Poets Society). Good Morning Vietnam was also very good. Good Will Hunting. Awakenings. The Fisher King. And, of course, the Genie in Aladdin.

Never thought he was all that funny but I do think he was an amazing actor, loved a lot of his work.

As much as I enjoyed him in Aladdin his best work was in dramatic roles. If you'd never watched it, check out The Fisher King -- not an easy movie to watch (especially if you expect it to be funny).

reading the ASOIAF books. How the Diddle does somebody write all this stuff? How do they think of all this? It's ridiculous.

My wife is almost done with #1 (she got the set for her b-day from our oldest). Then I can start on it. It's a slow read -- normally she gos through books like a hot knife through butter, but this one has taken her a long time.

Good Morning Vietnam and Patch Adams were very heartwarming.
I also loved Hook and Jumanji which were more on the fun side.
Dead Poets is also my fav I think.
Great actor indeed.

I was gonna post something inappropriate and then type "What? Too soon?" But here's what I think of the twitter narcissists coming out of the woodwork to show their "support" in whatever-characters-or-less:

I find it fascinating that all these clowns have to go on the internet to tell the world how much they loved Robin Williams and what good friends they were. Particularly his WIFE!

The guy was last seen at 10pm, in his own home and was apparently found some 14 hours later, in his own home... by an ASSISTANT. Not a family member, nor his own damn wife.

Everybody claims they knew he was depressed but no one checked on him for a 14 hour period? Not a friend, not an employee, not a family member, not his WIFE?!?! People are such self-absorbed hypocrites.

10 PM is bed time. 14 hours later is 2PM the following day. He may have been battling depression for a while, but he wasn't on a suicide watch.

It's also strange how people always say the same damn thing after suicides, then forget about it a day or so later and nothing ever changes.

RIP in peace Robin Williams. Lik dis if u cri evertim
