The King and I are both fans of the Walking Dead. Season 2 resumes on the 12th. It's good, but some people might say it is slow.

All good, personally a fan of Deadwood more than anything else.

I watched it. I enjoyed it. I'm looking to see more (assuming it doesn't get the axe). But it was not great by any stretch.

Never watched Deadwood or Oz but heard good things about them. Gritty, lots of swearing, I'd bet.

*LOVED* The X-Files. But it should have lasted only 3-4 seasons and concluded on its own terms. Started Dr. Who a little while back. S1 was a bit quirky but has gotten progressively better. Some excellent episodes, some quite hokey, too. Best Doctor probably was Tennant (Barty Jr. from Harry Potter). If you want something more gritty from the same universe then look at Torchwood. Series 3 (I think) was a mini-series called Children of Earth and it was excellent -- definitely not stuff you'd see on one of the "Big Networks". Their last season, though, was just crap -- that's the one where they "americanized" it by having FX (I think?) co-produce it and film most of it over here.

Other shows to check out -- Millennium, American Gothic, Harsh Realm. Of course, Firefly.

XFiles is the Cussing Dung. Some Cussed up (in a a good way) stuff there I remember watching when I was like 10.

I started Deadwood but it's pretty slow - not much going on. Plus, why is there a random mentally challenged woman sweeping in the saloon?

I finally bought the second season of Breaking Bad and it's a great show.
