They played like Dung in the second and third.

1 goal again? If that's how we respond to one of our worst efforts of the year last game I seriously question this team on so many levels.

6 regulation losses in the last 8. what's scarier is that we've scored 13 goals in those 8 games. Not even close to 2 goals per game.

This is why we suck. With regards to this game, we got jobbed since the 2 pp goals for pitts were both very very very questionable calls (2nd one with the miss on fisher)....but this is karma maybe for the LA game. So it evens out.

Something for the offence has to be done. This is getting really disturbing. 1 goal again? 44 shots on fleury but really how many were just glorious? I'd say about 6 or 7.

Major Over-reaction much?

Over-reaction? Prags, he's been horrible. Horrible. He needs to wake the Cuss up - now.

For a dozen or so of the first 22 games. He hasn't been horrible in all the games, and he was actually pretty good in 1 or 2. Certainly not what we've come to expect from the last ***TEN YEARS***. That's my point -- SG11 said "I give up" and I think *that* is an over-reaction.

I seriously doubt we win that game 99% of the time Spez, plain and simple, this team has no finishers.

Finally some shots on net, and they still only get one goal. Just great for the confidence eh? Now what does the coaching staff do? Okay we shot the puck like mad, and we still only got one goal.

Seriously, now what???

They say, great job everyone. More of the same, but let's cut down on the penalties and shots against. Karlsson didn't even slow Crosby down so why bother nudging him? Neil might have been able to draw Fleury into a roughing call without taking one himself, but he retaliated and it was 2 each. Not sure what Kelly could have done on the second one except maybe keep his feet moving so he's even with the guy or ahead of him, and doesn't have to reach with his stick.

Fleury was pretty good today. If they get 42 shots on The Monster they'll likely win.

I'm not convinced of that, Fleury is not a great goalie and he beat us today, I'm sure the Monster can do the same, we're just not scoring. How do you win when you can't score? I see many losses in the near future, this team is sinking.

No, they didn't. The Pens certainly outplayed them for most of the 2nd, but they still had to rely on the PP to score both of their goals.

IMO we go right back with Leclaire tomorrow night, he seems to be in a real groove recently - Should have won the last 2 starts with the numbers he's been posting, but just zero run support to speak of.

Effort was there. Nothing to question. If effort is there the rest will come.

So what? They still took their foot off the gas after the 1st.

You're not convinced that they will *likely* win? I'm not N4L. I didn't guarantee a win.

you honestly believe they'll keep up this 'effort' if they don't result in victories? Consistency has been such a big problem for Ottawa. I suddenly feel scared for tomorrow night, i really don't have faith they'll display this effort level.

That first period was great, but from there it was alot of the old stuff. penalties and lack of a penalty kill.....what happened to our once reliable penalty kill? Jesus tap dancing christ!

I hear ya, but we've been saying that for Foligno for 20+ games and he's yet to pocket one.

No, they didn't. The Penguins are a better team on paper, and they showed that in the 2nd. Give your opposition a little credit.

Now, if they get 20+ shots in the first against the Leafs, and then the Leafs return the favor in the second then, yes, foot off the gas, for sure.

I fear every Leafs game, they always seem to outwork us.
