Sorry, I don't get it. "Happy Endings" is a show on ABC starring Elisha Cuthbert, among other people. Also the "tough girl" from the last two seasons of Scrubs.

And a "happy ending" is also the expression used when a "sensual massage" ends with a climax.

Burke has no plans to add anything to his roster...

Will go with the goalie tandem of Reimer/Scrivens. Feels they are good enough.

Sound familiar?

Assuming we have hockey that is...

No hockey is nothing new in Tarranna.

See, this is where you obviously have the "upper-hand" of experience on me.

Just like every year, they will hardly give up any goals in early October.

Hilarious. Is he the most overrated GM in the game today, or what...

Settle down, what do you WANT or expect him to do?

You guys have no problem telling other GM's of teams you hate what they should do, but when it comes to your own team you don't want them making hasty, panic moves.

He can't help it if Luongo won't play in TOR, or if VAN wants too much for him.

Don Cherry claiming that Ron Willson handling of Reimer was "a disaster" and that he "tried to destroy him."

He's a blowhard. Thinks he knows it all, then he's put in a position in Toronto where his team wasn't built for him and he falls on his face. Terrible job he's done.

He got his cup ring off the back of Bryan Murray who is a proven builder in terms of teams he is put in charge of.

Not to mention Cliff "Methuselah" Fletcher did alright cleaning the slate for him so he could build the team his way.

Great, none of those arguments explain what you want him to do in Toronto, or care what he does.

I asked: what do you expect him to do in terms of addressing their supposed goaltending needs?

As Ottawa fans we should know it isn't easy. How many players did we pursue that said "no thanks" and others that would cost more than you'd be willing to give up?

If I am a GM of a team and my only affordable and reasonable options are the two guys I already have, then why not. Not like the Leafs are in dire need to win as long as they keep selling out.

I'm gonna have to agree. It's just like saying the NHL owners are not in dire need of having a season if they keep selling copies of NHL 13 to so-called "fans."

Yes because all the owners and the teams in the NHL are as profitable as the Leafs are.

He's got absolutely no excuse. It's a big city so no RFAs will use the Edmonton excuse to stay away. Fletcher cleared the plate for him as already mentioned. He's got as much money to spend as the cap will allow (and a bit more, usually). He's had lots of very good draft positions. What has he done? This is the only team in the league that hasn't see a playoff game live since the last lockout. He has done some very nearsighted moves, which is sometimes OK if your aim is to make the playoffs at any cost; but as mentioned before, he has managed to keep his team out of the playoffs. He has failed to deliver on *any* of his promises. If he were anyone else he would have been fired at the end of the season or earlier.

What would I have him do?
- not trade high draft picks for guys picked last at the ASG
- build a *team*
- stop blowing hot air an calling a press conference every time he feels a fart coming on
- hire some scouts who know what they are doing
- let those picks develop in the minors, or put up with mistakes and nurture them through the growing pains, rather than benching and demoting them for making rookie mistakes

Is that enough?
