Historically those kind of moves fail pretty quickly, we did the same with Foligno a few times it didn't work. There's a reason some players shift from C to W in the NHL. Ville Leino was the latest failure.

JVR went from C to W with Philly cuz Philly was stacked down the middle... didn't make sense for him to be a 4th line C.

It could work, they at least ought to try. Sens tried moving players too, Foligno and Fisher to name a few.

It worked, AFAIC, with Foligno. Could have worked with Fisher maybe if he wanted to play wing.

Foligno played primarily LW, the switch to C was an experiment.

The Leafs will have more patience I think, since they want it to work.

Sens didn't need Foligno to be a #2 C since they got Turris.

JVR has no idea how to play center at the NHL level, none. The Leafs are basically throwing up a Hail Mary and seeing if it works out. It's that simple.

Too early to start planning the parade?

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that the club has signed forward Keith Aucoin and defenceman Simon Gysbers to one-year contracts.

I can just picture the Leafs (expensive) braintrust around a conference table:

"Hey Brian ! If the Marlies win the Calder Cup maybe THEN we'll make the playoffs ? It worked for Ottawa !"

Slow news day...

No kidding. Neither has done anything noteworthy in their respective professions in quite awhile. Laughing3

I still watch reruns of PMK (Popular Mechanics for Kids). She did some good work there.

Also, I have to admit that Happy Endings is a guilty pleasure. Not "appointment viewing" by any stretch, but I still watch it.

Sorry, I don't get it. "Happy Endings" is a show on ABC starring Elisha Cuthbert, among other people. Also the "tough girl" from the last two seasons of Scrubs.

And a "happy ending" is also the expression used when a "sensual massage" ends with a climax.

Burke has no plans to add anything to his roster...

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=404954

Will go with the goalie tandem of Reimer/Scrivens. Feels they are good enough.

Sound familiar?

Assuming we have hockey that is...
