Yes, the Leaf and Habs threads are Dung all over those teams. Both those teams have been in the dumps, and neither show signs of imminent improvement. It if fun to poop on them when the situation warrants, as they are our arch-rivals. As hardcore Sens fans, it is only natural to take pleasure from the suffering of our rivals. This is part of being a sports fan.

Because this is a hockey forum to discuss all things hockey, and this here in particular is a place to post about Leaf news. This signing is news.

It's just that no matter what they do, some fans here feel the need to just post sarcastic comments. I thought that was why we all left Hockeybuzz?

Allaire eh... the guy who's motto is "you don't need to be an athlete to be a goalie". Can't stand him and his style of goaltending is going out the door.

Allaire style and teachings are somewhat controversial, I read somewhere that him and Bryzgalov did not get along in Anaheim (so Bryz would never sign with the Leafs).

Also Allaire was never a goalie in the NHL, I can imagine some experienced NHL goalies not wanting to take pointers from a guy who never even played in the league.

Finally established goalies already have their style and tendencies, I can't imagine they want someone to come in and try and change how they play (like Allaire).

Although Vokoun offered to sign with the Leafs last year, so I don't understand his tweet in this case.

Apparently, according to a Damien Cox article in the Star, the Leafs wouldn't trade Schenn (or Gardiner) straight up for the 1st overall.

Apparently Schenn/Gardiner =/= Yakupov, according to the Leafs/Cox.


This is what Cox had to say when probed about his comments:

“Bc if they’re smart they’ll figure out the first pick isn’t worth as much this year. No big diff among top players,” Cox replied.

That's dumb - sounds like if there's any truth to it, Leafs nation is setting up a trap to hope that people think they overvalue their players.
