That's the typical response, and I wonder if Sens haters also say the same thing when they hear "Sens sign Winchester", "Sens sign Butler", or "Sens sign DaCosta".

Obviously teams need to sign guys like this, but I really have yet to see the Leafs do anything recently that looks like an improvement. I think the last signing they made that made me jealous was when they signed Macarthur after him and the Sabres walked away from his arbitration award. From what I recall, Macarthur signed for substantially less then he was awarded in arbitration.

Maybe, but this dude's stats are par in the KHL, not sure this is anything to get excited about.

If he was a Sens signing we'd be excited beyond expression.

Nobody is pretending he is anything more than what he is -a 3rd/4th line energy/checking player.

But seriously is this website a Sens site or an NHL site, because we have a Sens thread that is pretty much optimism, and then a Habs thread and Leafs thread that are full of criticisms, hate and jokes. So is there even a point to having sub-forums for any team not the Sens if this is how people are going to use them?

Then people don't have to comment. It's a news related to the Leafs posted in the Leaf forum. It's not a "nothing signing" because something can't be nothing.

Why are you being so sensitive over people ripping what the Leafs do?

Yes, the Leaf and Habs threads are Dung all over those teams. Both those teams have been in the dumps, and neither show signs of imminent improvement. It if fun to poop on them when the situation warrants, as they are our arch-rivals. As hardcore Sens fans, it is only natural to take pleasure from the suffering of our rivals. This is part of being a sports fan.

Because this is a hockey forum to discuss all things hockey, and this here in particular is a place to post about Leaf news. This signing is news.

It's just that no matter what they do, some fans here feel the need to just post sarcastic comments. I thought that was why we all left Hockeybuzz?

It's just a matter of respect and welcoming people here. I doubt that non-Sens fans feel welcomed here. This guy they signed, if he turns out to be like Kaleta, whom they compare him too, could be an effective player.
