Kessel said maybe it isn't working out but I'm pretty sure he was referring to his line not his time as a Leaf. This is being blown out of proportion if people think he wants out of Toronto.

The way they talked about the Kessel situation on TGOR this morning, you’d think that Kessel had said he was done with Toronto. When you actually read the quotes and understand what Kessel was replying to, I think it’s somewhat obvious that he was saying it’s not working out on the third line. Obviously, we would love to blow this up and cave the roof in on Toronto, but I think it is out-of-proportion.

Still, it’s nice to see some publically displayed discontent in Toronto.

I could be wrong but I think he was probably asked about Wilson's decision to move him out of the top six and those were his responses.

Possibly, but it's a very odd choice of words... unless he doing that on purpose... I dunno.

What I find convenient is that the questions he was asked are left out.

TSN does indicate the question was around his line assignment...

"I don't know. Maybe it's just not working out, I guess," explained Kessel of his line assignment. "Who knows? I didn't get anything going. Maybe it's time for a change or something. Who knows?"

Add in the comments from Wilson about him not working on it in practice etc... and the comments from Kessel about him and Ron not talking and you have something...

Perhaps a not so subtle way of Kessel telling Burke that he and Wilson ain't working out... and something's gotta change.

Not that it's his place to do that, but yes, I agree.

I think it's a not so subtle way of Kessel saying he completely disagrees with his coach and that he feels Wilson should have come to him first. He ends his sentences with I don't know as if to say it makes no sense to him and perhaps it's just Wilson trying to shake things up.

Again I think it's blown out of proportion if people think he wants to be traded.
