9 powerplays for Toronto...what a joke.

Dung, there better be more effort in games in the regular season.

Plan the parade route.

They're the only team that has been playing their entire lineup since opening day of preseason. Mostly because their forwards are all interchangeable with their minor league team.

Anyways, skill level looks promising. THe chemistry is a mess but you can see the potential. Some of the passes out there by Karlsson were GDT: Preseason #6 - TML @ OTT - 29/09/2010 - 7:30pm - Page 9 26130

I thought Gonchar wasn't exactly in prime form on the winning goal.

I'm still wondering, though, what the score would've been like after 1 period if Phillips and Kuba had been playing. The inexperience shows a little when they don't get the puck out quickly and it rattles around in the corners. They start to run around the zone and look a bit panic-stricken. Not just the defensemen, some of the forwards as well.

At this point I'm not going to get upset, as it's still the pre-season.

What a dumb penalty by Fisher to kill that game. WTF is he thinking?

PS The refs can suck it.

That pass from Alfie to Gonchar on the GWG was pretty much suicide. IF it worked, could have been a goal for us. But the guy was at full speed on his back hand...
That's the kind of play that make other teams respect us when it will happen more often in the near future.

Sometimes when he handles the puck it looks almost Pat Kane-esque.

I missed the game completely, but damn it we should have come out with a victory here. Coming back from 2-0 down to take the lead, we should not be relinquishing that at all. Sens can get away with that crap in the preseason, but this will hurt in the season. 9 powerplays for the leafs???? 3 goals? that's brutal no matter how we wanna spin it. Hope they learned some lessons tonight.

He didn't seem too happy with the quote on TSN:

While Senators coach Cory Clouston didn't exactly use the same words he had a similar opinion. With just two more exhibition games remaining he sees a need for improvement.

"Everything needs to improve," said Clouston. "The power play wasn't very good, but everything needs to be better."

Why this team Dung the bed everytime we play the Leafs is beyond me. I know it's preseason but we had regular season games last year that went the same way.

I'd be pissed at the refs this time. I hate that excuse, but they were rancid tonight.

Let's not oversee the fact that this was pre-season game #2 for a lot of our players and we didn't have our shutdown line (Kelly, Neil, Ruutu) nor did we have Phillips who is arguably our #1 d-man. Also, we had three power-play goals against which was the result of not being able to get the puck out of the zone. Overall, we held the Leafs to 19 shots and not a lot of scoring chances.

I have my doubts about Cowen this year, albeit he did look a lot better last night than in previous nights. I think Wiercioch is going to be a stud for this time and as of now is more NHL ready than Cowen. His first pass is great, and it's evident he's got a good hockey sense. Unfortunately, I find he's very slow without the puck and needs to fill out his frame for him to be more effective. He moves the puck well and played Kessell very well last night.

Kovalev to me had a good night as well. He stepped up against Beauchemin, he was moving his legs, and he was creating chances. He looks like he's in good shape and he's playing with some emotion. Let's hope this lasts and he can rub off on the rest of the team. Nice to see Smith play with a chip on his shoulder, and nice to see Spezza dumping the puck into the zone.
