That's a *very* Italian name (except for the middle). Maybe he just got exiled.

Well, there are many Canadians with foreign names so it's pretty much that same LOL. I guess it does seem odd though to see a Russian have a foreign name!

The "Russia" I remember is the Soviet Union. It wasn't exactly open-borders for immigrants. In fact there were many more people trying to get out than get in. So it's not (well, wasn't) very common to see foreigners.

I think Wiercioch should be ahead of Cowen right now. Cowen might be more NHL ready in terms of size and strength but he runs around the defensive zone like a chicken with its head cut off.

Wiercioch, on the other hand, looks poised and in control. He needs to fill out his frame and work on his skating a bit, but man am I excited for this guy.

Does anyone have a decent scouting report on Rundblad?
