I don't think you can place someone on IR and then increase your roster to 16. So if you want to always count 15 players, you would have to drop the injured one and draft a new (unpicked) one. Thing is, you won't get the points the player accumulated before you picked him -- only the points after he is on your team.

You can only put a guy on IR only if he is on the NHL IR. Once you put somebody on IR you get an empty roster spot and you get to add a new guy. Or you can just add injured people off waivers and not drop any of your current players.

So you have 15 players, 1 gets injured. Put him on IR then you have 14 players. Add one for nothing off free agents and you then have 15 again.

For example Tavres is hurt but they never put him on IR yet. Rafalski is also not on IR yet.

If they are on IR you will know it because when you click the drop box next to the player, there will be 3 options: Active, Reserve, or Inj Res. If there is no Inj Res in the drop box then he is not on IR yet.

Congratulations to whoever has Mike Cammalleri or any other star players for Montreal: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Pass-or-Fail-Letting-NHL-fans-select-the-Three-;_ylt=ApdhV3vvJ9_bjhKS_m.UP9x7vLYF?urn=nhl-276454

Why do I have a feeling the 3 stars for every Montreal home game this year are going to be Cammalleri, Subban and Price?

Nice, I've got Cammalleri! LOL

However, they will probably pick Lapierre and whoever else is French.

Sorry, but then it becomes *exactly* the kind of league that several people said they did not want. I want to pick my team at the start of the season and watch to see how it develops. *Maybe* allow on additional move for long-term injuries; *maybe* have a mid-season draft to pick up additional players or drop/swap one or two injuries or poor performers. The point is I did not want to have to monitor my roster and make (potentially) daily adjustments.

A guy gets injured, you make one move to replace him, it's not that hard...no offence but a league where you never change your players is lame.

Seriously, this is not that complicated at all Laugh1

It's not a matter of complication rather than having to check on your fantasy team daily then having to decide who you want in to replace that person.

This means you need to be aware of how every available player is doing in case of injury. I see exactly what prager is talking about.

I'm not in the pool nor do I want to but I see his point.

If you're guy gets injured, all you do is replace him with the best free agent (or best free agent in your opinion) and then that's it, you're good to go. Or you can just leave your player injured, it doesn't really matter.

and even if you had to check your team everyday, it takes like 5 minutes.

yeah i've made a few moves cuz of Dung luck with injuries.... and then a few more. my roster sucks anyways, i'm sure not many will mind since my amazing spot in the standings....
again, if anyone want's to do a trade. i'll part with heatley... Naughty (who is playing on the 3rd line, if i remember correctly?) i don't know what they are doing in SJS, but healtey needs to feed off a good center. no way can he do it on his own. i expect he'll be reunited with Jumbo in a few games.

Lame?

I ran a draft pool for the last half dozen years I was at my last company. We picked 10 players at the start, and then mid-way (Sens' 41st game) we would hold a second draft where we picked up two more and were allowed to drop/add one player for free (injuries) and up to two more for additional money (it was a $ pool, but nothing huge). It was a lot of fun.

Also, at least some people here indicated (early on) that they wanted to just pick the players at the start and not have to do day-to-day team management.
