Good move, no point in owning OEL in a one-year league.

Can we not just take the 15 players we each picked and get the points for all of them? I really was not on board with a pool that required you to actively select who plays and who sits each week (each game?) and also to worry about trades and waivers. I understand that some GMs have not enough of one or another position, so those have to be fixed up but, once that is done, can we leave things well-enough alone? Maybe take those line ups and enter them in a Yahoo! league so we can keep track of how well we picked.

You CAN start all 15 and leave them active for the entire year (unless you want to drop them, or if they get injured), that's how my team is set up.

To start all 15 you have to have 8 F, 5 D, and 2 G. I can see that you will be able to do this, prager, you just have to change your "reserves" to "active"

Done.

I just don't see why we have this active/inactive distinction if we can keep all 15 active. Typically you would have 15 players but only (for example) 12 of them can be active, so you have to juggle your lineup on a day-to-day or week-by-week basis. If everyone can keep 15 active that means all 15 will count toward your total? Why would *anyone* have players in reserve? What would be the advantage?

I think it's because in other pools, you might not want to use some of your players because you might already be winning a certain category (for example, you are already leading in the +/- category and don't want to risk having it drop so you put some of your guys who are on bad teams on reserve for the day). This does not apply to this pool though, obviously, since it is just a points pool with no weekly matchups.

But, Sens4win should have made it minimum 15 active and not 12, so that you you HAVE to start all 15. Sens4win, I suggest you look into changing that Smile.

All 15 will count towards your total...the only time it wouldn't is if your roster was illegal (like if you had 6 D active, for example).

I would grab him if I needed him, but somebody should REALLY add Mike Ribeiro off free agents. He does not belong there! :D

By the way, I went to change my roster to flip my reserves to active (which, by the way, was not my doing in the first place -- they were automatically put in the reserve list) and it was telling me that I had an illegal roster and that *none* of my players would count. A bit harsh, no?

lol, ya it said the same thing for me, just make sure you meet the league limits for d-men, forwards and goalies, as well as not having to many of one of them, if you are still having problems PM me.
